If you are used to travel in the odd hours of the day(OR Night) you definitely need to keep the emergency car helpline nos along with you.Various agencies are currently providing this service for Car breakdown in Delhi and NCR(Noida,Faridabad,Gurgaon).The best thing to do would be to get yourself registered with one of these service providers .The charges are quite nominal ranging from 400-700 per year.Even if you dont have a membership they charge you for the work they do.
The normal sevices provided to members are:
Minor repairs free of cost .
Provision of petrol in emergency.
Free towing to nearest workshop.
Free dropping to member and family if car is not repairable.
some other provisions e.g help if your key remaining in the car,tube repair

ADVICE:
If you own a car in NCR I would advice you to become a member of one of the helpline services.They charge heavily for non members(250rs for first visit for a tyre puncture!!!!!!!!!!!!)
They also provide helpline service for BIKES.

NO to FASTRACK
Never go for Fastrack helpline as they have very bad service.
I need them three times in a year and all the times they provided poor service.
First problem is they never pick phone. I tried there all helpline numbers but they didn't pick any of number.
Secondly, as I got luckier one time and they picked my phone but there mechanic reached me after 2 hours of intense waiting.
That's why I got frustrated and I have to choose another service at the same time.

Crossroads DON'T cover Bolero cars anymore !!
I am a woman who drives a Bolero. I wanted cover for my car incase of a flat tyre. My car is a Bolero and in impeccable condition. It is 3 years old and when it goes for servicing the mechanics think it is only a couple of months old. That's how well i treat my car. Anyway, i called Crossroads to cover me for a possible flat tyre, which i've had a few times. Delhi roads. Bad. Crossroads told me that they DON'T cover Bolero cars as it is too much trouble i.e. towing it. I told them i would not want cover for that but they apologised and said the would not cover me. Thanks alot. So glad that they go out of their way to help women drivers be safe on the roads !!!
