Here’s some great news for fans of hip-hop music in the capital - Hip hop rage Akon will hit New Delhi on October 6 in what will be his first concert in the city. He had performed in Mumbai earlier this year on January 13th. A favourite with the teen set, his hit tracks include Lonely, Ghetto, Belly Dancer, and Smack That.

The Akon concert, which will be held at NSIC exhibition grounds near Kalkaji Temple, will break a two-and-a-half-year-long jinx on Delhi which has been starved of topline international acts. For quite a while, many leading event companies have been boycotting Delhi for its red tape and stringent regulations but things appear to be changing now.
