Welcome Guest
Bonsai is one of the more recent additions to Delhi’s burgeoning list of Oriental restaurants, with a menu that is a mix of Japanese, Chinese, Thai and Indonesian cuisines. Spread over a considerably large area, and part of the Corus Hotel, the best part about Bonsai is not its food but its open sitting area which is designed like a beautiful garden with pots and plants all around including a mini waterfall. It is an ideal place to spend a relaxed evening during the current season.
Coming to the food, there is the Futomaki or California roll sushi (mayonnaise and crab meat filling), strictly for those who don’t mind eating raw fish. There is also a good selection of dimsums and appetizers like dry chilli potatoes and golden fried crispy baby corns. In case you are in the mood for some Indonesian cuisine, try the Nasi Gorang (Indonesian fried rice with chicken satay). If you are looking for something gravy you could also try the Nonya curry. Then there is the usual selection of manchurians, chili chicken, fried rice and noodles.
The dessert menu is again rather interesting with items like chocolate noodles and lemongrass and green tea ice cream. But the best reason to visit Bonsai is still its ambience, check it out this weekend.
