Bus Services in Delhi - Public Transportation Lifeline

Bus service is perhaps the most economical way of visiting this vast city. Broadly there are two kinds of bus services plying across the length and breadth of the city - Private Buses (popularly known as Blue Line Services) and Delhi State Govt. owned service called DTC bus services. The bus routes are planned in such a manner that they span through every nook and corner of the city. DTC bus routes alone connect 2500 different bus stops in the city. However, there may not be a single direct bus route connecting each and every two select locations.

Types of Bus Services
The above bus services form the ordinary bus services of Delhi. However, there are few specialized bus services which run through the Delhi roads. There are services which one calls Limited Services - usually plying between two very distant locations and have a flat fare structure. There are night services as well, serving commuters in the night. Then there are Green Light and Railway Special Services.
