For creating Event
Please try and avoid pasting content directly from MS word documents as, that can cause problems with the way article looks like after submission. Instead in order to copy and paste content without causing any problems with the visual appeal of the article, copy the content from MS word and then click on "Paste as plain text" or "Paste from word" icon in the Teaser/Body
Images can also be inserted into the polls by clicking on "insert image" link (Camera icon) in the Teaser/Body of the poll. You can either select from a range of available images or you can upload a new image for use in the poll. For browsing the available images select the appropriate image gallery from the Brows Images section. In order to upload an image click the "upload" icon which will then take you to the create image section/page. Provide a Teaser/Body information for the image (optional). Input a title for the image and click Browse to locate the file on your computer. Click on "preview" to have a look at the image and how it will appear on the site. Click "Submit" and this will take you to the image formatting page where you can define the look of your image. Here you can specify the optional "Title" or description along with the size and alignment. Also you may want to set whether the image should appear as a link or popup etc. Once this is done click on "Insert" to insert the image.
If you want to start all over again during any part of this process just click on Start Over and it will take you to the beginning.
Once the Image is inserted, you might want to click "insert/edit image"(Tree icon) to change how the image appears with the content
Teaser - This is a small teaser to the complete content. It will be shown on listing pages along with a "read more" link which will lead to the full article. If a teaser is not written, it will be auto generated
Start/End dates - Specify the start and the end dates for the event.
Time Zone - Please select Asia/Calcutta for the Time Zone
Title - Please specify the Title for the content being created here.
Take Your Pick - From the list, please select the most suitable category/ies for the article for e.g. if writing an article about art then you should select ‘art' from the list. If the article can be classified in more than 1 category then please select all appropriate categories by holding down the "ctrl" key and selecting multiple categories
Delhi - From this list, specify the region of Delhi which best relates to the page/article
Body - Use this space to write the main article. Please remember, Teaser is separate from the body and will not be shown in full view of the article and hence it might be good idea to copy/rewrite/include the excerpt in the Body as well.
Preview - Click on preview to see how the article looks like and make changes (if any) accordingly.
Submit - Press the submit button to publish the article on the website.
Repeat Sequence - To create a Repeat Sequence you first must create the event, then click the 'edit' tab, then the 'repeat' tab to get to the repeat settings screen. Read below for a quick repeat pattern tutorial:
1. Set 'Repeat type' to the type of repeating pattern you wish to create
2. Set either 'Repeat end date' or 'Count' to determine the how many repeating events will be created (you can only set one of these parameters). If you want the pattern to be indefinite, then leave both of these settings empty.
3. Set any other parameters for the repeat pattern
4. Set any exception dates to the pattern using the exception editor. Exception dates are dates where a repeat event will not be created even if it falls within the repeat sequence
5. You can't create repeat events in the past--if you set a sequence starting in the past, it will begin to render on the current date (or possibly the day before)
Except for the Count parameter, all other parameters operate as follows:
Multiple selections within the same parameter use an OR comparison for determining the pattern (ex. Monday OR Tuesday OR Wednesday). Choosing multiple parameters uses an AND comparison between the parameters (ex. on Monday AND in March).
So, setting the days parameter to Monday, Wednesday--and the month parameter to July, August would result in this comparison logic:
Occurs on (Monday OR Wednesday) AND (July OR August)
