The Chinese delegation was headed by Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress Wang Yang. The observation was made on Tuesday, when they called on Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Tejendra Khanna at Raj Niwas.

Mr. Wang was accompanied by the Chinese Ambassador to India and other delegates. During his meeting with the LG of Delhi he commented that Delhi’s greenery had left an indelible impression on him and he was also impressed by the tremendous progress made by the country.

This was the first visit of Mr. Wang, Secretary of Chongqing Municipal Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People’s Congress, to India, and said that the main aim of his visit is to promote better understanding and promote economic and trade relationship among both the countries.
