Sewa Bharat presents "Sewa Mahotsav" (A national level celebration by women members)

The three-day festival will be marked by colourful and lively performance put up by more than 1500 women SEWA members from across the country.
 

The three-day festival will open on

25th March 2008 and will continue till 27th March 2008

At Ambedkar Bhawan, Jhandewalan, New Delhi

- Schedule -

Inauguration            25th March at 3 pm

Followed by the colourful performances put up by the members of different states.

Sports Event           26th March, 10am – 1 pm

This will provide a chance to the members to take part in various events like Breaking of earthen pot, Jalebi race, three legged race, sack race, musical chair and so on. Followed by some dynamic performances at the latter part of this program.

Closing Ceremony : 27th March at 3 pm

With Cultural Performances and Prize distribution ceremony.

Display and sale of the colourful handmade products of SEWA members from different parts of the country in an "Exhibition cum Sale" on all the three days.

 

ABOUT THE MAHOTSAV –

This is a workers' celebration where the women from different communities, regions and areas from across the country come together at a common place. This place provides them a larger platform where they share their experiences of work and home at the national level. This Mahotsav provides them with an opportunity to celebrate themselves as workers that enhance their identity as workers. This will also help them in understanding their strengths at larger platform and at the same time can feel the strength of being part of SEWA union.
