The Partnership Summit 2008, CII's mega international event, is scheduled to be held, for the first time ever, in Gurgaon, Haryana, from 16-18 January 2008.  Gurgaon, a satellite city located in the National Capital region of New Delhi, is home to a large number of multinational companies. Often called the Millennium City – Gurgaon typifies the new, emergent India! Haryana is the Partner State at this very prestigious conference.

The Theme of this year's Summit is - "Emerging Consensus : Inclusive and Sustainable Development ."

The Partnership Summit, which started, as an event to mark the centenary of CII, has become one of the most important international business events in the country. It aims to further partnerships, to build ideologies based on shared dreams and visions that bind societies together in our knowledge driven world.

The Partnership Summit, now in its fourteenth year, has regularly featured Heads of States and Governments, Ministers, senior Bureaucrats, Academicians and CEOs. The previous thirteen Summits, held four times in Kolkata, thrice in Hyderabad, twice in Bangalore and once each in Chennai, Jaipur, New Delhi and Mumbai has established itself as an ideal ground for business networking and sharing of societal concerns where Corporates seek a collective "beyond bottom lines" view. The Prime Ministers of India, Singapore, Canada, UK, Italy, Czech Republic and Presidents of India, Poland and Portugal, have addressed the Partnership Summit since 1995.

The Partnership Summit traditionally sees almost a 1000 delegates with almost 40% from overseas. The Summit generally attracts delegations from over 25 countries, including USA, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Australia, South Africa, Italy, Qatar, China, Saudi Arabia etc.
