Why `Youth for India'?
India is a land of youthful jubilance and achievers who have rightfully placed the country in the global map. The YFI Concert Is an effort to reinstigate the vision of India to be a self sufficient and stronger nation by the power of youth. The concert will be an annual event with tours by young artists or performers of music in different parts of the country. The objective is to acknowledge, motivate and energise the youth who will take India to new height.
About Sky
It is said music is the art of thinking through sound. SKY, tries to achieve the dynamics of music that stretches far beyond thinking, to the realm of feeling and creating bliss. The melody is created through various ragas taken from the rich heritage of Indian classical music, blending with the western harmony. The practiced hands of the artists plays instruments such as the Sitar, Shehnai, Hawaiian guitar, Table, Mridangam, Spanish guitar, the African percussion instrument- Cajon. The effortless amalgamation of the ragas, such as Raga Balragl, Hamasadhwanl, Kalawati, Hemavatl and etcetera, with the notes of the western instruments illustrates SKY's musical genius.
All the members of the SKY are trained under the tutelage of eminent Gurus In their respective fields, which endows them with the confidence to innovate. The quality of the innovations places the SKY in a league of its own In this modem day and age of fusion. With most of Its members being In the age group of 23-28 years, the music is a heady mix of youthful energy, instant improvisations and melodious harmony.
About Aakaar
Aakaar Is a non-profitable, selfless service oriented voluntary organisation. It is devoted to mobilise graaaroot movements in the rural and semi-urban areas by providing education and better health to the people of these localities. Aakaar, with its initiative in Majboor Colony, Delhi has been instrumental in skill development of under-privileged children. Monthly health check-up, vocational training, social counseling and daily education assistance are few of the key activities of Aakaar.
