Brahm Naad means the Word of God.

Brahm Naad was first sound that created the universe. It was the music of the cosmos that infused life and energy into the nature.

This celestial word is not mentioned in Hindu scriptures alone.

Bible says: In the beginning was the word and word was God.Islam has the Kalma and Sikhs have the Shabad.

It is the first sound of creation-- the primordial music, the Universal Symphony.

Several saints like Guru Nanak, Kabir, Bule Shah, Meera and many others have sung praises of Anhad Naad.

The Art of Living Foundation, run  under the patronage of His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, is organizing BRAHM NAAD, a grand symphony of one thousand sitarists from India and abroad in aid of Bihar flood relief and rehabilitation.

The program will be spearheaded by Ms. Chitra Roy, M.Phil with gold medal in classical music from Delhi University. The sitarists will be accompanied by an ensemble of musicians on the flute, tabla , dholak , sarod , sarangi , pakhawaj , veena , keyboard, mrudangam and ghatam .
