Are you reluctant to dine at big hotels in Delhi in view of what happened at the Taj and Oberoi in Mumbai?

You don’t have to be.

Security has been further tightened at most big hotels. While some star hotels have already beefed up their security, others are trying to do so as soon as possible.  Visitors are not allowed to enter without explaining the valid reasons. They have also to show their identity cards.

The vehicles are checked thoroughly and the baggage is screened with X-ray machines. The cell phones are also checked.

The Taj in Delhi, for example, apart from taking its own steps, has also made arrangements with the Delhi Police and government authorities to strengthen its security set-up.

Management of The Claridges is contemplating to install sophisticated security gadgets Entering the star hotels is not a cakewalk it used to be earlier.

As a law-abiding citizen, you should not feel offended if you are frisked with detectors before entering a hotel.
