Here’s some good new for all book lovers in the city – the World Book Fair, held every year, is all set to start in the capital from the 27th of January, 2007.
The fair provides a wonderful opportunity for book lovers to buy books related to their interest and hobbies & also get to meet their favorite authors. For publishers, book retailers, librarians and booksellers, the fair provides an excellent opportunity to expand their business & knowledge base.
There will be a wide array of books available from across the world on every possible subject and for every age group – from kids to adults.
The Venue: Pragati Maidan, New Delhi

THE WORLD SECOND BIGGEST BOOK FAIR IN DELHI
This is wonderful for to have every indian that 18th world book fair is going on Pragati maidan in Delhi.
This is world second largest book fair.
This being the 60th death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, books and works on him will find a special space at the fair.
A collection of books on the Mahatma from national and international publishers will be exhibited, the audio visual section will feature a catalogue containing information about nearly fifty documentaries filmed by Films Division, Doordarshan and NFDC on Gandhi.
Russia will be the guest of honour at this year's fair in view of the year being declared as the 'Year of Russia'.
I am really very much thankful to give apportunities to say about world book fair.

hey .. ppl don't b dissapointed..... ! the Book Fair is being held in Pragati Maidan ..and is starting from the 2nd of Feb 2007 ........ !! yippee ..!

after reading this i even went to pragati maidan to attend the book fair but was dissapointed to know that no (book)fair was going on...

Hi Piyush I apologise for the mistake. I came across this piece of information while surfing through a website, where they had by mistake put the dates as '27th Jan-4th Feb 2007' whereas the event was actually held on the same dates but in the previous year i.e. '27th Jan-4th Feb 2006'. Sorry about the same and I must thank the admin dept. of delhilive.com for bringing this discrepancy to my notice. Will try and be more careful in the future. Regards Sarfraz
