Madhuri All Set to Sizzle Delhi's Silver Screens

Even though Delhi is served with limited entertainment fare this weekend, the city is eagerly awaiting Madhuri Dixit’s come back venture, Aaja Nachle, with a keen sense of anticipation. Directed by Anil Mehta, who has been the director of photography for numerous commercially successful films such as Kal Ho Na Ho, Lagaan, Saathiya and many more, the film Aaja Nachle has already created a lot of hype for a debutante director’s movie. On the other hand, Delhi viewers have the option to go for a supernatural thriller, which delivers a social message as well.

Aaja Nachle
The idea of the movie was discussed between Aditya Chopra and Anil Mehta on the sets of Veer Zaara, but it took two years to take its final shape. The director has managed a casting coup of sorts in his first film by casting Madhuri Dixit, and he accepts that the role was tailor-made for the noted actress making a comeback after a gap of five years. Anil Mehta agrees that there are tensions and pressures associated with the film but he expects these to vanish after the film is released. The film’s storyline revolves around a talented dancer who learnt dancing in a small town theatre and goes to the US to become a choreographer. She comes back when she gets a call that her master is dying, with the purpose of reviving the theatre founded by her teacher. Those fond of singing and dancing routines may find this film irresistible, as its storyline gives enough scope to the veteran actress to mesmerize the audience.

Gauri – The Unborn
This is another eagerly awaited movie, which is completely different from Aaja Nachle in terms of spirit and storyline. Directed by Aku Akbar and produced by Amit Mohan, Gauri – The Unborn is a story of a happy couple with a nine-year-old daughter who visit their ancestral home for a vacation. The family is haunted by their aborted baby, which threatens to take their daughter away.
