The National Children's Museum in the Bal Bhawan Complex is a perfect place for children of all ages from 5 to 15. The museum possesses a rich collection of toys and dolls, art and craft material, musical instruments, head gears, and currencies of various countries across the globe.
The permanent galleries of the museum are Hamara Bharat, which presents the rich Indian culture and achievements in the field of Science and Technology, Gaurav Gatha that throws light on India's past civilizations, legends, freedom struggle, etc. and the very interesting Surya or Sun gallery which has several exhibits explaining the importance of Sun in our life, its origin, and various other topics of the solar system.
The museum also has an exhibition place known as Children's Creative Work where pieces of art by children are displayed. This section becomes live especially during the summer months when workshops on arts, theatre, painting, music and dance are held in order to create interests of children in one of these fields.
The complex also has a hostel, facilities for sports and games and other arts like clay modeling. There is also a science park, an aquarium, a jet fighter and a proper functional mini train in the museum.

Nearest Metro Station – Mandi House. You can take either an auto or a bus from here to reach the museum. One can also take buses from Connaught Place or Dhaula Kuan to reach the museum.
