Though designed by the British architects, a great part of the city of New Delhi was actually built by a father-son duo, Sujan Singh and Sobha Singh, who were building contractors.

Auto-rickshaws in Delhi

An auto-rickshaw is a three-wheel motor driven rickshaw. It can conveniently seat three passengers-even four can be huddled -- besides the driver. It usually has a green body and a yellow top. The green body of the auto-rickshaw signifies that it is runs on compressed natural gas.

Taxis in Delhi

Traditional taxis in Delhi have black body and yellow top. They are also known as 'kaali-peeli' in the taxi drivers' parlance. Most of the taxis are made from hand Ambassador or Fiat cars.
