Noida: In its effort to cash on the coming commonwealth games, noida is all set to woe foreign visitors visiting the capital to noida by running fancy double decker buses between the games village and noida linking it with star hotels coming up on the noida expressway and other locations of noida.
In the past UP transport authorities have run these fancy double decker buses in Lucknow where they received a very poor response, now they have been brought to noida for a trial run after giving these buses a makeover.
According to UP state Road Transport Corporation, “ The double decker buses have been brought to noida for a trial run to asses the response and chances of plying it during the commonwealth games, in order to attract tourist to Noida. The buses will be on road after renovating it within a fortnight”.
Once the Noida authorities gets the go ahead from Delhi for running these buses then more buses will be purchased.
Currently talks are under progress on how to renovate the buses between the corporation officials and corporate houses.
According to UPSRTC, the buses will get a fresh coat of paint as well as new plush seats to make them comfortable to the commuters. The total budget for this will come around to Rs. 65,000 and all those corporate houses collaborating in this project will be allowed to use these buses.
