Online Help for School Students

Here’s some good news for students scheduled to appear for their 12th class Board exams in March – they can now get their queries resolved by qualified teachers from the comfort of their study rooms simply by logging on to a website. An initiative of the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the program called ‘Sakshat’ can be accessed at http://www.sakshat.ac.in and http://www.sakshat.gov.in. This service, of course, is totally free of cost.

A group of 20 well-qualified CBSE teachers, calling themselves the Sakshat Resource Teachers, will be available online to answer academic queries in real time, and this number is set to increase with over 700 teachers from across the country having shown interest in becoming a part of this initiative.

Classes for Class 12 subjects, Mathematics, Physics, Accountancy, Chemistry, Biology, Business Studies, English Core and Functional English are fully functional.

The CBSE is also in the process of starting a similar exercise for Class 10 students. At the moment, for Class X students, the website has multiple choice question along with updated syllabi, the examination schedule and sample papers.
