Barbeque Nation

Eating out is probably the most popular form of entertainment for folks in Delhi. It is an integral part of merrymaking. The city offers countless restaurants, with cuisine from various corners of the world. The latest rage in Delhi and the NCR region is Barbeque Nation, a restaurant cum bar in Gurgaon (Block-A, Ansals Sushant Plaza, Sector 28, Phase I, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, Gurgaon Phone: 44044563). The restaurant offers a unique dining idea, with customers doing their own barbeque. The place creates quite a bit of expectation, and manages to live up to it beautifully.

Before you even enter the restaurant, the valet parking facility makes you already feel well looked after. While Barbeque Nation has a good ambiance and excellent decor, the food remains the main attraction. There is a grill in the middle of each table. You are served starters comprising of various kinds of kebabs and tikkas that are semi-cooked, along with various oils and sauces that can be smeared on them. The starters range from prawns, chicken tikkas and mutton kebabs to tandoori aaloo, paneer tikkas and mushrooms. You can cook these to your taste. Of course, there is always a friendly waiter around to lend you a hand in case the need arises. The place also serves some pre-cooked starters that you can munch on while doing the cooking. And their fully stocked bar helps to make the occasion all that more special.

The full course buffet is delicious and you can finish the meal with a wide variety of desserts. Barbeque Nation charges Rs500 per head for dinner and Rs250 for lunch.

The Barbeque Nation chain made its debut in Mumbai in December 2005. The chain then opened outlets in Bangalore and Hyderabad. Delhi may be its latest destination, but definitely not its last. Barbeque Nation now has a target of opening more than 100 restaurants over the next five years.

very well said.. I visited

very well said..

I visited the place and find it perfect place to eat..

What do you think of the price compared to what you get.

I live in California and the cost of decent dinner [buffet - both non veg and veg] is around $15 in a decent place. Of course the cost of food and the labor is obviously expensive here compared to Delhi, besides the ingredients like Basmathi, spices come from India.

Is the price of Rs: 500 normal in Delhi? Also I wonder it is Buffet or the menu is standard. I am sure the cost including the labor comparatively low in Delhi.

Last time I ate in Delhi would be more than 12 years ago, so I don't have a clue on how is it dining in Delhi.

Cheers
