Welcome Guest
After the stunning success of Tare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan is busy working on his next home production Delhi Belly. The thespian intends to make the film in English and is targeting solely the NRI audience. The film is likely to be directed by a Swedish director, Robert Nylund. The cast of the film, however, would be taken from Bollowood. Aamir himself is not expected to act in this film. The story of the film has been written by Akshat Verma. The subject of the film deals with the underbelly of Delhi. The entire film has been shot in the capital. The film is likely to be released by May this year.
A filmy- do was shot and hosted by producer Sandeep Kapur. The participating crowd was an amalgam of politicians, designers, models and, of course film, personalities. Some of the notable participants were emcee Nitin Arora, DJ Sumit, designers Rahul Jain and Neelam Saxena, Jagdish Tytler, Meyhar Bhasin, Slyvie, pop artist Taz from the group Stereo Nation, Ashok Mastie, Vandana Vadhera and Vikram Baidyanath. The star attractions of the evening show were Hrishtitaa Bhatt and Manoj Bajpai. The mood of the program was set by singer Krishna who sang his song ‘Maula mere’ from Chak De! India.
Hrishitaa was one of the first guests to arrive. She flashed her hundred watt smile at the shutterbugs and the guests alike. She was dressed in a white coat. When asked how she felt in Delhi’s winter, she replied,” It is great fun being here in Delhi in the winter. It’s the cold that I miss in Mumbai!” She added about her work, “There are lots of movies in the pipeline. Right now, I’m busy shooting for one in the capital.” Mumbai must feel a little empty with so many of its denizens here wouldn’t it?
Yet another film ‘Fight Club’ produced by Sohail Khan and Rising Star Entertainment was shot at Ansal Plaza. The film is directed by the debutant Vikram Chopra who is the nephew of the well-known producer director Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The story of the film revolves around two fighting clubs. The star cast includes Suniel Shetty, Ashmit Patel, Yash. Rahul Dev, Sohail Khan, Dino Morea, Zayed Khan, Ritesh Deshmukh and Ashish Chowdhury. The women actors are Dia Mirza, Amrita Arora and Neha Dhupia.
