Delhi Nightlife Rocks

Delhi, which was used to entertaining guests at home, has suddenly woken up to a rocking nightlife. Night clubs and discotheques are springing up everywhere and Delhi is closing the gap with Mumbai in terms of nightlife options.

Djinns
Although this pub-cum-discotheque is jam-packed on weekends, it never attracts hard-partying crowds. It is more leisurely, with a pool table on one end. Of course, its hardwood floors are very inviting for people willing to shake a leg. A live band and an expert DJ add to the charm of this place. Since it is part of the Hyatt Regency hotel, Djinns attracts a lot of foreign executives and businessmen. The service is good and its menu includes some nice Lebanese dishes. The place is on the expensive side.

Address: Hyatt Regency Hotel, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi

Ministry of Sound
Delhi was very excited to welcome the famous UK club (by the same name) and Ministry of Sound quickly become one of the National Capital’s most happening nightlife hot spots. The place is popular for its incredible musical extravaganza. It is shaped like a pyramid, which rises to a height of 80 feet. The décor is exquisite, with black leather sofas and the most comfortable loungers. The first level has the main bar and dance floor, while the next two levels are meant for the more exclusive crowd. There is a hefty cover charge, but that gets redeemed against drinks.

Address: The Pyramid, Local Shopping Centre, Sector C, Pocket 6&7, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi

Shalom
This is among Delhi’s increasingly popular lounge bars. Sofas, loungers and low lighting, all make for a more laid back evening. The décor is stylish and the place attracts Delhi’s chic crowd. Shalom serves mouthwatering Mediterranean cuisine.

Address: N-18, N-Block Market, Greater Kailash-I, New Delhi
