One of the most beautiful historical, restored by the Neemrana Hotels group, the Glasshouse on the Ganges offers an enchanting weekend getaway from the mad rush of Delhi life. The resort houses six cottages build in the lychee and mango orchard of the Maharaja of Tehri Garhwal. Its tropical garden not only boasts exotic flora but is a cornucopia of rare birds and butterflies. The scenery from the Glasshouse is breathtaking, with the Ganges flowing by and tall mountains flanking the horizon. The Glasshouse has 12 rooms and can house up to 25 people at a time. The rooms have to be booked in advance, with the amount payable till 20 days before the date of arrival. Camping, water sports, jungle walks and sight seeing at Rishikesh can all be arranged through a tailor-made itinerary. Room tariffs range from Rs. 2,500/- per night to Rs. 8,000/- per night. Children up to the age of 4 are free of charge, both for the stay as well as for meals. Children between the ages of 4 and 11 years are at a 50% discount rate for meals.
