As the Chief Minister of U.P. Mayawati celebrated her birthday earlier this month, residents of NCR of Delhi also got a share of the pie. All residents of NCR seeking to buy some property in U.P. on the peripherals of Delhi, saw two new housing schemes being launched by authorities in Greater Noida and Ghaziabad. While the first one was for 3900 affordable flats in Greater Noida, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) simultaneously launched a new housing scheme for residential plots and flats. This housing scheme is near Bapudham in Madhuban, in Ghaziabad area, at a location on a proposed wide road connecting NH 24 leading to Hapur and NH 58 leading to Meerut.

The residential scheme, which was launched on January 15 this month, includes 275 residential plots varying from 60 meters, 90 meters, 150 meters, 200 meters and 450 meters offered at a rate of Rs 12980 per meter.

Apart from same, another 640 odd flats have also been offered to public at an estimated price of Rs 10,00,000 each. All such flats are to be built on a four level basis on plots of 45 meters.

Though the area is currently underdeveloped, it is expected that those getting properties by lottery in this area could derive a real benefit of appreciation after a wait of five years, once the Delhi metro extends its area beyond Delhi border towards Ghaziabad area, and more development comes up near that area.

The scheme, which has already opened for public from January 15, would remain open till February 15. As always, an easy financing facility would be available for all such successful applicants who get plots or flats in the lots to be drawn in June this year.
