Travel search engine from Delhi

Now the national capital region of Delhi may claim to have created its own travel variant of Google. Skylink group claims to have created the world’s fastest travel search engine and the good news is that much of the work for it was done in our very own Noida. When travelers type two destinations in the search box, the engine instantly comes up with flights, relevant fares available and airlines operating on that route.

The search engine claims to compare 35 million fares instantly and comes up with the most convenient options for travelers. The company has engaged 14 personnel in the work of loading the data and the service is available to only to those travel agents who subscribe to the service. The Noida office is also handling other portals, e-fliers as well as customer calls. The company is facing staff attrition problems, however, and is considering shifting operations to cheaper locations like Chandigarh.

The company is likely to face stiff competition from nascent travel search startup iXiGO.com, which has been named among the top 100 innovative technology companies by NASSCOM. The company has done well to be included in a list, which sports big names such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro. This company was launched in a shared apartment in Gurgaon and is constantly changing the rules of the game by ceaseless innovation. iXiGO.com also provides travel search services to the traveling community, similar to the niche catered to by the Skylink travel search services.

The national capital region of Delhi has of late been a hub of start up search activity where budding entrepreneurs have been trying to come up with probable alternatives for search engines that do not show relevant results anymore because of manipulations made by Internet firms that have understood the search engine rules fairly well and are playing the game accordingly.
