For the food start off with appetizers or starters, the best choice is to go with Lemon Coriander soup with mushrooms and chicken, the soup had amazing flavor of coriander! Truly it is superbly prepared. With soup you can order the Steamed Shanghai mini buns with minced chicken, Steamed rice rolls with fresh shrimps. China Club has also something amazing for the vegetarians, once you are there you must definitely try the Pan fried Radish Cake, I never thought radish could taste any better. Seafood lovers can go for the Lobster with black pepper .Be adventurous, and try the steamed crabs, “We show the guest a live crab and cook it fresh, and all our sea-food is flown in from Cochin, so one can be rest assured of fresh and good sea-food”, informs the Captain.
A star item and highly recommended is the Braised Pak Choy with Black mushrooms in oyster sauce, decadent to the core. The sautéed diced chicken with XO sauce seems to be a hosteller of the restaurant, and I know why after having it myself. The garlic and spring onion fried rice is a good accompaniment with your main course.
Once you are over with your meal, for dessert try the Warm Chocolate Brownie with ice cream, the taste is heavenly. Surprisingly even after eating like a glutton one doesn’t feel heavy after the meal; I guess the trick is minimal deep-frying and not mixing too many flavors. The restaurant also offers a good wine list. The premium food justifies the prices and the service is impeccable.
