Debenham - Comin Soon to Gurgaon
It’s time for the citizens of NCR to get a taste of world-class shopping with a number of international and domestic retail chains being in the process of setting up shop in the upcoming malls at Gurgaon. For example, the Mustafa Supermarket chain of stores from Singapore has already acquired space in MGFs’ Metropolis Mall at MG Road, while UK’s well known Dabenhams and Marks & Spencer are opening their stores in the 1km long Ambi Mall on NH-8.
Besides these, Gurgaon will also begetting more outlets of Indian mega-stores starting with Reliance Fresh and moving on to brands like RPG’s Spencer Supermart, Pyramid, Pantaloon, Lifestyle, Shopper’s Stop and Big Bazaar. However, off all these, Spencer Hypermarket Stores is going to be the first to make an opening on February 16 at Mega City Mall on MG Road.
Spencer Hypermarket is owned by Spencer Retail, a pioneer company in the organized retail in India, running a chain of stores in four formats ranging from hypermarkets to Supermarkets to Daily and Fresh Stores in a number of metros.
At the Ambi Mall, apart from Dabenhams and Marks & Spencer, Reliance has acquired 1 lakh sq feet of space, Big Bazaar another one lakh sq feet, Pyramid 45,000 sq feet and Pantaloon 40,000 sq feet. PVR is also going to be opening a 7-sreen multiplex here.
With most of these malls are expected to be operational in the next one to six months, Gurgaonites are sure in for a massive dose of retail therapy and new-age entertainment.
