The SPIC MACAY festival 2007 is marking 30 years of the cultural organization’s existence. It will have performances by virtuosos in the field of classical dance and music.
The big bang of SPIC MACAY came in 1972 at a concert of Ustad Nasir Aminuddin Dagar and Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. Since then, the festival has truly gone places every year.
The festival this year will open with a performance by Pandit Birju Maharaj.
