Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College is a co-educational college established in the year 1951 by the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee. It draws inspiration from the life of the 9th Guru of the Sikhs, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, who laid down his life in Delhi to uphold the freedom of belief and conscience. Apart from providing higher education in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Social and Physical Sciences, the college also strives to be a centre for the promotion of Punjabi language and culture. Over the years, the college has shown excellent academic results, particularly in the Science stream which has undergraduate General and Honours courses in Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Physics, Zoology and Bachelor of Information Technology.

The college maintains a well-stocked library which, at present, contains over one lakh books. The college also has a spacious playground for hockey, cricket, football, basketball, volleyball etc. With a view to develop the qualities of initiative, organisation, public speaking, leadership and self help within the students, the college provides ample opportunities for extra-curricular activities like debates, social service etc. On a slightly more cautious note, the college also has the distinction of being perhaps the most notorious college in the DU North Campus with fights amongst students being a regular feature.

The College offers Honours as well as Pass courses in Commerce, Science and Arts streams. Admissions are strictly on the basis of marks secured in the Senior Secondary High School examination as the college declares a cut-off list for admission to various undergraduate courses every year. The application forms for admissions to the current year are available at the moment and the last date for submissions is 15th June 2007.

Location – North Campus, Delhi University

Admissions 2007 – Application forms are available at the college and the last date for submission of application forms is 15th June 2007.
