The Best Way to Discover Delhi’s Heritage

If you want to discover the splendor of Delhi’s Chandni Chowk or relive the memories of the great Mughals and Delhi Sultanat eras, you cannot afford to miss the weekly walks, conducted every Saturday and Sunday, by INTACH. The walks cover two circuits:

Jama MasjidSHAHJAHANABAD OR THE CHANDNI CHOWK WALK: This walk is conducted every Saturday and the walk route covers the Shri Digambara Jain Lal Mandir,Gauri Shankar temple, State Bank of India, Central Baptist Church, Sisganj Gurudwara, Sunheri Masjid, Paranthewali gali, Naughara, Dharampura, and Gali Guliyan. The walk ends at the gate of the Jama Masjid.
MEHRAULI ARCHAEOLOGICAL PARK WALK: The Sunday walk in Mehrauli Archaeological Park covers Balban's tomb, Jamali Kamali's mosque and tomb, Metcalfe's bridge, boathouse, Quli Khan's tomb, Metcalfe's Guesthouse, Rajon ki Baoli, Mosque and tomb, Serai , Maulana Majduddin's tomb and Khan Shahid's tomb.


Each of these walks lasts for approximately 2 hours and the registration fees is a nominal Rs. 30.
