Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (an autonomous body of the ministry of youth affairs & sports) & Ministry of Home affairs, (Govt. of India) is organising     (the five-day Tribal Youth Cultural Exchange programme will have 180 participants from Kanker, Jamui, Dantewara, Kaimur, Giridih, Gumia of Bihar, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh states.)

The tribes are distinct ethnic groups characterized by distinctive cultural and physical traits, unique traditions, customs and geographical isolation. Due to the above reason they have preserved their culture, traditions, mores and ethnicity.

- PROGRAMME -

• The programmes can be broadly classified as a Tribal Youth Cultural Exchange Programme

• Total number of participants including escorts from Bihar, Chhatisgarh & Jharkhand will be 180.

• In the programme 30 participants (28 youths and 2 escorts) each will be selected from 6 selected district with maximum tribal population in 3 states and with insurgency problem.)

• Tribal youths in the age group of 13-35 will be selected to participate from each selected district. Youths attached with NYKS affiliated youth clubs, mahila mandals, students from colleges, schools, etc will be selected to participate. Each team consists of 28 youth (14 male and 14 female) and 2 escorts ( 1 male and 1 female)

• The youths will assemble in their district head quarters and will departure to Delhi. All the participants of 6 district will be assembled as National Level in a pre identified date at Delhi where national level seminar, panel discussion, cultural programmes, etc. will be organized. Apart from that the participants will be taken to the historical and cultural monuments of the places also.
